Want to optimize your technical skills training at home? Join this year's surgical skills session to learn how to build and use your very own "home gym" for cardiac surgery skills practice. This session is designed for all skill levels from medical students to cardiac surgery residents in training programs across Canada.
- highlight what and how to use simulation for cardiac surgery training;
- discuss the use of simulation practice outside of the OR and how it leads to intraoperative progression;
- learn how to build home simulators to practice cardiac surgical skills; and
- learn basic techniques and exercises to improve technical skills in the OR.
